Eugene ChouinardDEXTER — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Dexter for Eugene Daniel Chouinard of Dexter, who died Sept. 30 following a heart attack. He was 74.He was born July 13, 1937, in Chicago to Laurence and Eleanor LaVigne Chouinard. He married Mary “Ronni” Marleau on Feb. 4, 1961, in Chicago.He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in forestry from Purdue University in 1959. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management from 1962 to 1994.Survivors include his wife; two sons, John of Milwaukie and Joe of San Mateo, Calif.; a daughter, Veronica Woolley of Eugene; two brothers, Christopher of Libertyville, Ill., and Lauren of Eugene; three sisters, Julie Leick of Munster, Ind., Vicki Tenebrini of Apple Valley, Minn., and Melanie Fuqua-Smith of South Holland, Ill.; and six grandchildren. A daughter, Julie Ellen Chouinard Grundstrom, died previously.Private family inurnment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
