Obituary of Thomas Vitale

Thomas Vitale, age 76, passed away peacefully September 1, 2020. He was born January 17, 1944 in Bari, Italy to Domenico and Giovanna. He married his love, Maria, in August 1970 - they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2020.Tom had a passion and love for music. He was a true student (and teacher) of music and could play many instruments - his favourites being the keyboard and accordion . Countless parties and Christmas dinners were celebrated while he played song after song for us to dance, sing and make special memories to. For 32 years Tom worked at the TTC as a technician. He also spent over 60 years performing at restaurants, parties and weddings - this suited his musical heart. Tom is survived by his wife, Maria; his children, Domenic, Joanne and Samuel; daughter-in-law, Ravit; grandson, Liam Gregory; brothers, Frank and Joseph; sister-in-law, Piera.Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Sick Kids Foundation with thanks from the family. As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, a Service will be held for invited guests only.Please take a moment to sign the online guest book.
