Obituary of Roy Leon Rainford
It is with heavy hearts and sorrow we announce the passing of Roy Leon Rainford on August 29, 2020 at the age of 90. Born in 1930 in Montego Bay, Jamaica to the late Cyril George Rainford and Viola Maud Russell.Now eternally reunited with his wife, Mavis (2013). Cherished father and loved by Yvonne Williams of Los Angeles, Dawn Rainford of England, Jennifer Rose of Texas, Maria Barnett of Florida, and Lorna Rainford of Jamaica and their families. Dear brother of Sadie Shaw and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Roy is survived by many family, extended family and friends and will be fondly remembered by the brothers of St. David’s Lodge, Mississauga 55+ Group and the “Thursday Domino Group”. A former resident of Sunrise Centre Mississauga, Roy was known for his great sense of humour, kindness and gentle nature. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff at Sunrise Centre for the care and compassion given to Roy during his stay.Those who wish to make donations in lieu of flowers, are encouraged to direct them to Trillium Health Partners.TTFN!!
