Obituary of Chris Crupi
Christopher Joe Crupi was born June 18, 1969 in Ottawa, Ontario. From a young age, Chris always lived a high energy lifestyle striving to accomplish his dreams and aspirations. One of Chris`s most notable high school experiences included the unique opportunity to work as a special assistant to the Honorable Don Mazankowski in the Federal House of Commons. Upon the completion of a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Ottawa, Chris began a career as a chartered accountant. In 2004, he began Chris Crupi & Associates, specializing in bankruptcy resolution. He was named CFO and interim president of Paramount Gold in 2005. He found his niche taking companies public and using his corporate expertise on SEC and governance issues. Chris was loved by many and was always willing to help those around him. He had many passions and interests including art, traveling, wine and food, and sharing laughs with loved ones. In 2018, Chris further pursued his appreciation for wine by completing the Wine Tasting course at Algonquin College. Throughout Chris`s life, he was always involving himself with the local community through kind-hearted contributions and donations to the local high school, Cairine Wilson Secondary School and the Capital Xelles Basketball Club. He played and coached soccer from youth into adulthood with the Gloucester Hornets Soccer Club and Cumberland Soccer Club. Predeceased by his son Jonathan and father Frank, Chris survived by his mother Carolin, his beloved children Lauren and Dillon, his partner Tracey and her sons Kaelan, Ryan, and Avery, his brother Adam, sister Stephanie (Davide), nephew Giuliano and nieces Isabella and Carina. A private family service will be held.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Mental Health Association of Ottawa.
