Obituary of Wally Elliott
Wallace "Wally" Elliott - August 1, 1929 – August 24, 2020 Wally passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Ottawa in the care of Queensway Carleton Hospital .Wally enjoyed a long and healthy life well-lived. He was pre-deceased by his parents William and Alice, siblings Dorothy, Alfred ("Buster"), Dougie, Leslie, and Edith, and daughter Elizabeth. Wally will be forever in the memory of his wife of 66 years Albina, son Peter, daughter-in-law Colleen, son-in-law Milt, grandchildren Kristofor, Maya, Shannon, and Megan, and his extended family and friends.A special thank you to the caring PSW and nursing staff who tended to Wally prior to his stay at the hospital.Wally worked at Imperial Tobacco (Imasco) Ltd. for nearly 41 years, beginning his career in Montreal and moving on to Welland, Oshawa, and ultimately Ottawa. He was a loyal, hard-working employee, and long-time member of the Civitan club. Wally was a real sports buff, playing (and watching) baseball, tennis, bowling, hockey and golf. He enjoyed playing cards and was always ready to joke, tease, and laugh amongst family and friends.Arrangements are entrusted to Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery.
