Anita will also be fondly remembered and terribly missed by her friends and colleagues at Lowe’s.Anita spent her formative years growing up in Kenya and India, before moving to Zambia where she married and started her family. She spent some time in Colorado before settling in Mississauga ON Canada in 1999. She started as a cashier at Building Box (later Rona) and moved up to supervisor before joining Lowe’s in 2007. During her time at Lowe’s, Anita formed many friendships with her colleagues while she worked at several store locations and in several positions including Customer Service, Installs Coordinator, Special Order Sales and Credit Coordinator, and as a member of the Voice Team and Safety Committee. Anita was well known and well loved by many amongst the Lowe’s family.Anita was a strong woman, full of life, light, love and positivity. She had a great sense of humour, both witty and sassy. She loved spending time with her family on her days off work, sharing meals at restaurants (even though she was an amazing cook and made the best dosa in town), stopping at Baskin Robbins for a scoop of her favourite Nutty Coconut ice cream, shopping for gifts for her grandkids, watching movies and Indian serials. Anita was a fun Ba (grandmother) who enjoyed pyjama parties, watching YouTube videos, listening to music, singing along and dancing to anything with a good beat. Anita was the best mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be terribly missed by all who had the opportunity to be a part of her life.Thank you to the all the medical personnel for their kind care and assistance: Halton Paramedics Ben & Paul; Acclaim Health nurses Brad, Jericho, Khalid and especially Chreta; Bonnie and Mary at Mississauga Halton LHIN; special thanks to Dr. Daniel Edgcumbe at Georgetown Hospital and nurses Emily, Shannon and especially Carol; Dr. Katherine Pulman & her team, Dr. Amanda Cipolla, Dr. Rajpal Chandi and Dr. Thomas Short at Credit Valley Hospital, as well as the Chemotherapy team of nurses and lab technicians, and nurses Karen (REACT), Marnie (Oncology), and Lynne & Dalia (Diagnostics).Unfortunately due to the restrictions surrounding gatherings during COVID-19, the funeral services are BY INVITATION ONLY.
