With his family by his side, Marciano Morra passed away peacefully on August 21, 2020 in his 90th year. Devoted husband of the late Giuseppina Morra. Loving father to Maria (Mario) Nicolo and Lorenzo (Josie) Morra. Caring Nonno to Gaetano (Giorgia) Nicolo, Antonietta (Anthony) Romeo, Marcello (Mariagrazia) Nicolo, Marcello Morra, and Frank Morra. Cherished Bisnonno to Michaela, Francesca, Mario, Gaetano, Matteo, and Adriano.Dad was a proud Italian and proud Canadian. He was born in Monteleone Di Puglia, Italy and immigrated to Canada at the age of 36. He settled in Toronto with his loving wife Giuseppina and children Maria and Lorenzo.Dad loved to spend time outdoors, especially in his garden. He truly enjoyed fresh vegetables and sharing his bounty with family and friends. He also loved the tradition of making his own wine and had the best tasting vino. Nonno in Italian means grandfather, but to his grandchildren and great grandchildren he was known as "Papa Marciano" and will forever be in our hearts.Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we'll miss you, until we meet again.Thank you to all our family and friends who have held Marciano and our family in their thoughts and prayers. If so desired, donations in memory of Marciano may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children. The church has requested that everyone who attends the mass arrive 15 minutes before the service starts. The doors of the church will be locked when the mass begins and latecomers will not be able to enter. Given COVID restrictions, a private family entombment will follow the funeral Mass. Thank you sincerely for your cooperation.
