Obituary of Donald Ebert

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Donald D. Ebert of Harrisburg, who died Oct. 9 of age-related causes. He was 77.He was born July 16, 1934, in McDonald, Kan., to Arnold and Verna Morton Ebert. He married Marcia Laveille on June 26, 1959, in Bremerton, Wash. She died Aug. 1, 1990.He served in the U.S. military during the Korean War. He worked as an installer for Western Electric and retired after more than 30 years.Survivors include two sons, Christopher of Eugene and Timothy of Portland; three sisters, Linda Odenborg of Vancouver, Wash., Diane Wheeler and Jan Weerts, both of Portland; three grandchildren; and his domestic partner of 20 years, Willie Jackson.Inurnment will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene
