Obituary of Shirley Kathleen Elliott
Shirley went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the age of 75. Shirley spent most of her life residing in Abbotsford, B.C., then Saskatchewan and finally in Guelph, Ontario. Shirley enjoyed life to the fullest. She was never without a smile and always quick to make others laugh. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards and games, cooking, music, dancing and entertaining. Shirley was a good friend, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley is survived by her son Michael Holm (Corrine), her daughter Dawna O'Neill (Patrick), grandson Arthur (Olivia), granddaughter Angela (Jared), great-grandson Finley Carter O'Neill born August 14, 2020 and her cat Lexi. Shirley was predeceased by her husbands John Holm and Robert Elliott and her parents Ernest and Frieda Tressel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in her name to your local animal rescue, to Brampton Animal Services, or Ontario SPAC and Humane Society. As Elvis sang, "Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete and I love you so."Shirley will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family, friends and all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home “Brampton” Chapel, (289 Main Street North) On Friday August 21, 2020 from 2 – 4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Redeemer Lutheran Church (375 Clark Blvd.) on Saturday August 22, 2020 at 10:00 am.
