Obituary of Robert Barnes

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Robert Eugene Barnes of Eugene, who died Oct. 12 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 81.He was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Stillwater, Okla., to Charles and Cora Bastion Barnes. He married Melva Grubb on March 10, 1950, in Stillwater.He graduated from Stillwater High School. He served in the Army. He worked as a carpenter.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Peggy Barnes of Eugene; and one granddaughter.Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
