Obituary of Clifford Pierre Robinson
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband and father Clifford Pierre Robinson on August 16, 2020. Cliff dedicated his whole life to his family and cherished being a father to his three sons Matthew, Jared and Elliott. He was a loving husband and true soul mate to his wife Palma (Nee Piccinini). He built a fruitful life filled with love, warmth and abundance. Later, many wonderful memories were made as he became the very proud grandfather to Livia Marie Robinson, daughter of his first-born son Matthew and his wife Robyn. “‘Cliff” was born to the late Clifford and Françoise (Née Ouellet) Robinson, in Montreal, QC on June 10, 1952. He graduated from McGill University in (1975) with a Bachelor (Honors) degree in History. He spent the majority of his career working in sales in the rail industry (Canadian Pacific Railway). Cliff was a constant presence in the lives of his “boys” and delighted in spending time with them watching films, taking them to sporting events, and most of all cheering on his favorite teams, the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburg Steelers. He was a kind-hearted, sincere, gentle soul. A true friend and a shining example of what it means to have a strong and resilient spirit. Despite facing a difficult illness, he felt blessed to have had “a charmed life” albeit too brief. His faith in God ultimately gave him the strength and courage to rise above this challenge. Although we mourn his loss, we are comforted by our belief that his soul is now with his creator. He will be missed but will never be forgotten and his loving spirit will live forever in all of us until we meet again.Cliff is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Palma; his devoted children Matthew (Robyn), Jared and Elliott; his sweet, sole grandchild Livia and many cherished extended family members and friends who reside in the Montreal, QC and Oakville, ON areas. Cliff will be buried at the Saint Jude Cemetery in Oakville, with an intimate reception to follow at the Robinson homestead.Father Allen will officiate the service at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Parish in Oakville, at 10am on Thursday, August 20th, 2020.The family asks that any donations be placed in Cliff’s name to The Canadian Cancer Society.
