Obituary of Anna Sandra Stirpe
It is with profound sadness that the family of Anna Stirpe announces her passing at the young age of 74. Following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Anna passed away peacefully on August 7th, with her three devoted and loving daughters by her side.Now reunited with her beloved husband Marcello, Anna will be lovingly remembered by her children Martina (Paul), Silvia (Terry), and Cristina (Luca). Nonna Anna will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jonathan, Ilaria, Milena, and Veronica. In sadness, she also leaves behind her sister and best friend Amanda (George), and her “little” brother Ben (Paulette) both of whom she loved very much. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and all her many friends.Anna was born on July 22, 1946 in Veroli, Frosinone, Italy. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1955. Upon completion of high school, Anna began working for the Ministry of Transportation and finished her career there as an Administrative Assistant for the Minister. She was an avid gardener who delighted in spending endless hours tending to her flowers and vegetable garden of which she was immensely proud. Anna was also an extraordinary cook. She thoroughly enjoyed preparing her delicious meals which became the focal point of countless gatherings filled with laughter and conversation, where unforgettable memories were made. We will cherish you, our beautiful Anna, and hold you dear in our hearts forever.Please note that due to Covid-19 related restrictions, there is a limit of 45 visitors at the Funeral Home per visitation slot. Please contact the family if you wish to attend. We kindly would like to remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects at the funeral home, to always remember to practice social distancing and to avoid all physical contact. Also note that it is now mandated by the government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering. We are asking for only the most immediate family members to join us at the funeral home on the funeral day and for everyone else to please meet us at the church. As we continue to pray for an end to this horrible virus, the Stirpe family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.A Mass of Christian Burial Will be held at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church, 2747 Jane Street, North York, M3L 2E8 on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. A Maximum of 100 guests are permitted at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Research Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
