Obituary of Maria Lurdes Tavares

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria on Sunday August 9, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Maria is now re-united in heaven with her loving parents Virginia Da Conceicao Araujo and Alexandre Viveiros and her dear husband Julio. She was the cherished mother of Paul, Dinis and his wife Diane, and Nelson. Maria was the devoted avó of Julia and her husband Chad, Mark, Joshua, Matthew, Rosanna, Maria and Madison and bisavó of Lorianna and CJ.Maria will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family, friends and all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home “Brampton” Chapel, (289 Main Street North) On Thursday August 13, 2020 from 6 – 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church (101 Malta Avenue) on Friday August 14, 2020 at 9:30 am. Interment in Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road) to follow. Your condolences are very much appreciated during this very difficult time.In light of the current global pandemic with the present restrictions placed on group gatherings by the government, attendance at the funeral home and church has been restricted to 30% capacity.
