Obituary of Lillian Ruth Plumb

Plumb – Lillian Ruth Plumb (nee Johnston), better known to many as Lil’ was born in Port Credit in 1927 to Ruby and William. Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by George Morgan Plumb, widowed at an early age. She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother survived by her children Gail (Ron) and her grandchildren, Damien and Bree; Belle (Ted deceased) and her grandchildren, Krystina and Nicholas; and Daniel (Karen) and her granddaughter, Polly. She was a devoted Mother raising three children, a world traveller, Bird lover, Classical music lover, good cook, Gardener and in her youth she was a swimmer and canoeist. She loved to volunteer with pot lucks and bazaars at the local church. “A lovely person all round.” “She was a very happy person, smiling all the time.” She will be missed by many extended family and friends. Visitation and funeral service are by invitation only due to Covid-19 at Scott Funeral Home (420 Dundas St. E., Mississauga). In lieu of flowers donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Salvation Army would be appreciated.
