Obituary of Philip Jager

Phil peacefully went to our Lord on Saturday August 8, 2020. He passed away at home, surrounded by his family at the age of 92. Born in Winschoten, the Netherlands, on May 25, 1928, he immigrated to Canada with his brother at the age of 25. Beloved husband of Miep for 64 years, he was also much loved father and Opa to Rolinda and Peter, (Daniel and Erika (Malea, Dylan), Lisa, Steven, Tyler and Brittany), Janette and Harold (Whitney and Omar, Jennifer, and Erik), Philip and Josie (Philip, Breanna, Nathan), Robert and Marcella (Caleb, Jonah, and Ezra), Christopher and Melanie. Phil was predeceased by his six siblings. Phil will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Friends and relatives are invited to a Remembrance Service that is planned for Tuesday August 11, at ClearView Church, 2300 Sheridan Garden Drive, Oakville, Ontario. The church will be open at 10:15am to meet the family prior to the service. Social distancing practises will be followed and masks will be required. Attendance information for contact tracing will be taken at the church entrance.
