Obituary of Elaine Liddell

Liddell, Elaine Julia (nee Banyard)It is with heavy hearts, the family of Elaine announce her passing, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in her 74th year after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Donald. Loving mother of Steven (Jamie lee). Much loved grandma to Jaxson. Dear sister of Michael (Valerie), Angela (the late Gerald), Peter, and Brian. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as by her step children Laurene, Don (Debbie), David (Nancy), and Michael (Andrea) and their families, as well as many friends.Born in the United Kingdom, Elaine was the daughter of Charles and Julia Banyard where she spent much of the first three decades of her life before emigrating to Canada. She quickly established herself in the Toronto area and married her husband Donald in 1983. A strong, independent, and compassionate woman, she spent her life caring for others. Along with many hobbies, she valued spending time with cherished family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home. Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, the funeral service will be for invited guests.
