Obituary of Morris Andrew Barnes

It's with sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Morris Andrew Barnes on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020. Born on Tuesday, September 21st, 1971 at Mount Sinai Hospital to Windell and Myra Barnes. Andrew is lovingly known as Andy The Barber, aka Bio, aka @andythebarber21. His ambition was displayed very early as a child! He delivered the Scarborough Mirror and moved on to delivering the Toronto Sun because Entrepreneurship was something that he was destined for. He attended Corvette Public School, Lord Roberts, John Mcrae and graduated from Cedarbrae High School in Scarborough Ontario. Andrew was able to transition his love of drawing and add it to his new found skill of barbering and designing many heads in Scarborough, Greater Toronto area and worldwide. Gary Thomas trusted Andy so much that he became his customer and thought the world of his haircut done with a Leg Shaver and Sewing Scissors. From that one haircut, The Basement was established and became a safe haven and regular hangout spot for those who were in need of a haircut and also liked the atmosphere created by Mr. & Mrs. Barnes as well as the all in one vibe that the Basement provided. He leaves behind his Parents, brother Mark, many family and friends, and will be truly missed but never forgotten.
