Obituary of Tarsilla Nascimben
Nascimben, Tarsilla (nee Lus)September 7, 1925 – August 4, 2020We are saddened to announce ‘the long good bye’ passing of our dear Mother, Tarsilla in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio (1994). Our Mother was a beautiful loving soul with a gentle heart, wise and kind to everyone. She had been suffering with Alzheimer’s for the past 12 years, but never failed to amaze us with little ‘snipits’ of recognition during that time. She especially seemed engaged when all three of ‘her boys’ would visit together and she could hear their voices speaking to one another. It was truly beautiful to see the love and calmness on her face. She leaves behind her sons: Frank (Liz), Len (Debbie), and Devis (Denise). She was a loving Nonna to: Deanna (Jean), Kevin (Janis), Shawn, Jennifer and Michael. Bisnonna to: Sofia, Rylynn, Cameron and Téa. Loving sister to Delfina (Rino), Remo (predeceased) and Luciana, Santina (predeceased), Onorina (predeceased), and Quartino (predeceased). Our Mom left Azzano Decimo, Italy in 1954 with their two little boys in tow to meet up with our Dad to start a better life in Canada. Our younger brother Devis was born in Canada and made our life complete. Mom & Dad both worked hard and even though there were challenges along the way, they had a very fulfilling and happy life in their chosen country. Mom was a talented cook and seamstress, making many of the clothes for ‘her boys’, and working to help provide for her family along with our Father, giving us a wonderful life. She taught us many things always stressing the importance of family, to be good to one another, help your neighbor and be kind to all who you come in contact with. We will miss her very much.A private family visitation will be held at Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke. A private family mass will take place at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge. Church capacity is 100 people. Private entombment at Queen of Heaven, 7300 Hwy 27, Woodbridge, ON.The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the outstanding care Tarsilla received at Villa Leonardo Gambin from the PSWs, particularly Aniree and the RNs on the 2nd floor. The recreation staff, Sonja and Beata who always encouraged participation at whatever level was possible. Finally, to Nevis who spent part of every day sitting with and speaking Italian to our Mom. You made our Mom’s stay with you as happy and fulfilling as was possible and we thank you. Memorial donations made to Villa Leonardo Gambin or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
