Obituary of George William Hunter

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Eugene for George William Hunter of Eugene, who died Oct. 10 of age-related causes. He was 94.He was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Garland, Wyo., to Joseph and Bessie Pattison Hunter. He married Rosemary Strunk in 1944 in San Francisco.He attended business school and served in the military during World War II. He worked with Prudential Insurance Co. for 33 years.Survivors include three sons, George of Eugene and Jeff and Tim, both of Portland; a daughter, Tacy Hunter of Eugene; a sister, Tacy Hunter of Long Beach, Calif.; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene
