Obituary of Giovanni Spataro

Giovanni Spataro passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020. He was the second youngest of nine children of Giuseppe and Francesca Spataro in Pachino, Sicily in 1935. He travelled across the Atlantic in 1965 to live in Toronto with his beloved wife, Nella and his children Frances and Giuseppe(deceased). Later the couple welcomed, Paolo and Rosaria. He worked in construction and concrete finishing throughout his time in Toronto. He liked to spend time watching horse races at Woodbine Racetrack and was an avid member of the Mediterranean Social Club on the Danforth. He brought his love for music to Canada by playing his accordion from Sicily at many family events. He became a grandfather to ten children, Elisabetta, Christina, Giovanni, Patrick, Juliana, Tristan, Adrianna, Gianna, Eric, and Jaidyn. Also, he was a great grandfather to Emma. He will be forever missed by his beloved family. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to WarAmps.
