Obituary of Skip Kriz

H.W. KrizA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at First Baptist Church in Eugene for H.W. “Skip” Kriz of Eugene, who died Oct. 16 of cancer. He was 64.He was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Portland to Howard and Ellen Haller Kriz. He married Susie Rittenhouse on Dec. 29, 1967, in Newberg.He graduated from Newberg High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for PeaceHealth for 35 years, ending his career as its chief financial officer.Survivors include his wife; his mother; a daughter, Aimee Hardesty of Norman, Okla.; a son, Tony of Portland; a sister, Kathy Hamlet of Madras; three brothers, Joe and Jack, both of Newberg, and Jim of Grants Pass; and six grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
