Julian Briggs

Obituary of Julian Rose Briggs

After a long and unforgiving struggle with Lewy Body Dementia, Julie passed peacefully in her sleep on July 14th, 2020. Julie was a devoted wife to Russell for 40 years, a proud mother to Zarena (Brent), Mirrelle (Neil), David (Delia), Cori (Clay) and loving nanny to 10 grandchildren. Julie was born to the late Harry & Muriel Williams on July 13th, 1947 in Wales, UK. She was a professional ballet dancer and teacher for many years. She moved to Canada where she met and married the love of her life, Russell. Julie was known amongst her friends and family as a small lady with a big strong and humorous personality, and an even bigger laugh. She had a deep love for children and animals, and once she loved someone, it was with her whole heart and soul. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Julie will be greatly missed but will live on in the hearts of her family and friends – until we meet again. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Wellington Park for keeping her as comfortable as possible and taking good care of her in her final days. Please join us for the Celebration of Life honouring Julie’s life on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1363 Bunnell Drive, Burlington between 1 - 6 p.m. Eulogy @ 2 p.m. In compliance with the current CV19 Social Distancing measures- Masks & hand sanitizer will be available (a mask will be provided if you do not have one).
