Joe DiPasquale

Obituary of Joe DiPasquale

Remember when Joe DiPasquale ran on the field at the Blue Jay’s game in the 9th inning? Or when he partied with the red Power Ranger? You surely saw him with Joey, always playing or coaching a sport, barely ever wearing a shirt and never cared for shoes. His smile and laughter were infectious, his stories were hypnotizing, his love for all his friends and family- fierce. Joseph Angelo Danny DiPasquale was born on August 18th 1980, and went to the arms of Our Lord on Tuesday July 14th 2020, exactly 5 weeks before his 40th birthday. He was raised by hard working and loving parents; Karen and Angelo DiPasquale. He was a little brother to Andrea Rich (Trevor) and a big brother to Jessica DiPasquale (Chris Tercer). He grew up on Longbourne Crescent and Deerglen Drive, both in Brampton. He was an excellent soccer player, very intuitive, and a genuinely cheerful soul. Joe was as handsome as they come, and his confident demeanor made him the coolest guy we all know. In 2002, Laura Lengyel gave birth to Joe’s pride and joy; Joey Jr. The two Joe’s have been inseparable ever since. Joe and Joey, both Philadelphia Eagles fans, hug a lot, tell jokes, work out together, ride around together, play a lot of frisbee, cuddle together and had tremendous respect for each other. The love between the Joe’s was very easy to see. Both Joe’s met Stephanie Robinson and her son Michael in 2015 during the soccer season. Together, they share so many beautiful experiences and memories. Laura, Joey, Joe, Stephanie and Michael were a great example of a modern family. Joe loved people, he loved joking with people, he loved supporting people, he loved his son and Father probably the most, he loved animals, Wasaga Beach, he loved being a vegetarian, he loved fitness, he loved his nephews Angelo, Ari and Colton, and his niece Jenna. He was a Godfather to Jenna and to cousin Lily. Joe loved early mornings, he loved yoga and meditation, he did a lot of reading, he was always making a connection with the universe through his trips/ vacations, long conversations and the way he lived. Joe had many friends that he kept close; Jeremy, Glen, Chris, Mike, Jimmy, Dave B, Dave S, PM, Billy, Jeff, and Hollywood Mark, to name a few. He had many work friends at the City of Brampton that he shared time with, and that cared for him. Joe has loving cousins, Aunts, an Uncle, and a Nonna- all who will also never be able to fill this large void. Joe had many little notebooks, with drawings, jokes, plans for the future, “grateful” type messages. One of his notes said “I hope people remember me for my love, my kindness, the way I shared my heart. My family means the most to me. My family and my time spent with them. ‘Love them.” Similarly, Joe was on a Yoga retreat in the Bahamas last year. As his time at the retreat came to an end, the other yogi students didn’t want him to go. They had grown to know the loving, spirited Joe we all know! On his last day there, his new friends had left notes all around the resort for him, each note saying “Joe is love.” On tables, on chairs, lining the walkways. He was so touched by this gesture, and his family was very proud of the joy he (always) spread. Joe exuded positivity, enthusiasm and love, and this is his legacy; Joe is love. Please join us in celebrating Joe’s life during visitation on Tuesday July 21st 2020 from 9-11, 1-3 and 5-7pm at Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd., Brampton).
