Obituary of Isabella Massara

MASSARA, Isabella (née Fusca)Passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Scarborough General Hospital.Predeceased by her loving husband of over 53 wonderful years, Fortunato. Loving and cherished mother to Salvatore (Carmela) and Adele (Paolo). Devoted and adored nonna to Michael (Daniela), David, Arianna, and Aurora. Dear sister to Onofrio (Annunziata) and Francesco (Vittoria).Isabella immigrated to Canada from her birthplace in Calabria, Italy in 1963, to start a new life with her beloved Fortunato.A homemaker all her life, she dedicated her life to being a truly wonderful wife, mother, and nonna. She loved to read, cook, sew, and to travel to Italy as often as she could. Most of all, she adored family gatherings and being surrounded by the people she loved. Her happiest times were those spent with her four grandchildren who were her pride and joy.Gone too soon, she will be deeply missed and never forgotten.A funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020 at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, Highland Creek, 200 Morrish Road. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Rd. East (west of Thickson Road), Whitby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation.
