Obituary of Bok Hoy Seto
Peacefully and surrounded by family, Hoy passed away at the age of 90. Hoy was born in Hoi Ping, Guangdong, China to Dock and Joan Seto. He came to Canada in 1951 to join his father and eventually settled in Streetsville. In 1957 he opened Hoy’s Café with his brother Sam. The restaurant later became Chungking Restaurant and together with his wife Susie, and Sam’s wife, Helen, they ran a successful business for over 4 decades.Hoy was a proud resident of Streetsville, who loved his community and made life long friends. Hoy was always full of energy, and made a lasting impact on everyone who met him. He had the ability to make everyone around him feel special. He will be missed.Hoy is survived by Susie, his daughters Sharon, Donna (Dale), Jeanie and his granddaughter Ping.A small private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to Credit Valley Hospital are welcome.
