Obituary of Elijah Edward Boodhoo
On Sunday, July 12th, 2020, Elijah “Eli” Edward Boodhoo, a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, tragically passed away at the age of 26 years old. Elijah was born on January 8th, 1994 at North York Branson hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He is the son of Marcia D. Mapp, his mother, and Edward Alan Boodhoo, his father. He attended Forest Manor P.S and David Lewis P.S. Following which, he continued his education at Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate & George Henry C.I. As an avid sports fan and active young man, throughout the years he played numerous sports – Scarborough Thunders’ football, soccer, and track & field. Additionally, his black belt in Tae Kwon Do is especially indicative of his mental and physical discipline.He enjoyed cooking, baking, skateboarding, playing video games, reading & writing, being adventurous, working with his boss Nikolas doing landscaping, spending time with family and friends, and loved his pet dogs Gucci & Kennedy. His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal and fearless person. Loyalty meant everything to him. Elijah lived his life with passion, commitment, enthusiasm, and love. He projected these qualities to his family and close friends and used this “can do” energy to illuminate every room in which he stepped. His bravery, generosity, and willingness to always go above and beyond will be especially loved and missed. Elijah is survived by his mother Marcia; his brother Emmanuel and his sister Jameika. He also leaves his grandparents, Hugh, Joyce, and Reina. He is also survived by his Godparents Carlene & Jomo, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his father Edward Alan Boodhoo.He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.LOVE LIVE ELIJAH Visitation information - Friday, July 24th 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 25th 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25th 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Pallbearers/The Brothers – Emmanuel Hanomansingh, Aaron Tate, Adam Tate, Deshawn Tate, Michael Chin, and Chris WaltonDue to COVID-19, this has placed immense limitations. The service is a 30-guest invitation only. Guests can still attend the service but will be asked to kindly wait on the outside. Those attending must follow proper health and safety measures including social distancing and wearing a mask. Masks will also be provided.The family would like to thank you for your contributions, thoughts, and continued prayers. Our family is immensely grateful for the continued outpouring of encouragement, strength, and support.
