Obituary of Gregorio Rosaura Alvarez

Our father, Gregorio Rosaura Alvarez Onge joined our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ on July 8, 2020. He had congestive heart failure. He was 85 years old. Gregorio was born in the Philippines on November 28, 1934. He worked in the manufacturing industry and managed his own family business. He migrated to Canada with his wife in 1994. Gregorio enjoyed fixing cars, sewing, cycling and photography. He had a passion for reading. He was a kind, dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He committed his life to serving his family. He was married to Remedios Mozo Alvarez for 64 loving years. Together they shared six children: Chito, Chona, Chelo, Chino, Cherryl and Chando. He was a wonderful grandfather to Charo Claire, Chris-Yvett, Chloe RJ, Charisse Janina, Christine, Chazel, Christian, Chrisleah Joie, Chad Jeremiah and Chyron Jerome and a great-grandfather to Yvonne-Chantell, Yllyzha-Chrissy, Chameron-Jayse, Lento, Lucas Albert, Chalvin-Jeryziah, Marcus Raphael, Masato, Chiara and Lui.He was a man of few words but had strength that carried our family through the years. We will always remember his wisdom and heart of gold.*As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at a funeral is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, a Private Funeral Service will be held for Gregorio.*Please take a moment and sign the online guest book.
