Obituary of Anica Kučan

Peacefully on July 3, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Born to Ivan and Katica Takač on July 2, 1926 in Croatia. Anica is predeceased by her loving husband Drago Kučan (October 17, 2016). She is survived by her children Zdravko (Marica) Kučan and Mirjana (Darvin) Stansfield. Loving grandmother to Sue (Josip) Kurobasa, Mike Kučan, Drew Stansfield and Carly Stansfield. Cherished great grandmother to Nick Kurobasa, Mariana Kurobasa and Mario Kurobasa. Anica will be lovingly remembered by her brother Stefan (Maria) Takač and her nieces Rosemarie Karl, Nada (Tosho) Milicevic and Tanya Takač. She leaves behind very dearest friends Nikola and Nada Mogus and their children Nick, Natalie and Jason. Predeceased by sister Slavica Karl (2009) and brother-in-law Ivan Karl (2016). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Croatian Martyrs Parish (Mississauga) on Wednesday July 8, 2020 at 10:00am. Private burial will follow at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Croatian Martyrs Parish in memory of Anica Kučan.
