Mr. Filippo Quercia1937-2020QUERCIA, Filippo passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday June 25, 2020 at the age of 83. Loved by his wife Francesca Quercia. Dear Father to Lucia Quercia and her husband Antonio, Sylvia Quercia and her husband Domenic, Marisa Quercia, and Pina Tomarchio and her husband Joe. Nonno to Alfonzo (Crystal), Filippo Q., Giuseppina (Matthew), Connie (Adam), Daniella (Carmine), Francesca B., Francesco, Corrado, Filippo F., Angela, Francesca F. (James), Paolina (Antonio), Francesca T. (Nicholas), and Victoria. Great Grandfather to Jonathan, Marco, Austin, Isabelle, Gia, and expected baby girl in September.Loving brother of Nicola, Cataldo, Antonio, and Alfonzo. Born in Corato, Puglia on April 5th, 1937 Filippo was a hardworking man and had a strong love for his family. Filippo moved to Canada in 1965 with his wife Francesca, and two daughters Lucy, and Sylvia. They went on to have Marisa and Pina later on while in Canada. Together they created a great life for himself and his family. Filippo enjoyed fishing at the cottage with his grandchildren and loved to make people laugh. He was a jokester and no one would want him any other way.Filippo will be cherished forever and missed by his family and by everyone who got the chance to meet him.The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions that are in place, the service will be private attendance; however, family and friends are able to view the service virtually (please see instructions below).
