Obituary of Eleanor McCaffrey

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Eleanor Carrie McCaffrey of Eugene, who died Nov. 3 of age-related causes. She was 98.She was born July 17, 1913, in Crary, N.D., to Herman and Lucille Bachman Becker. She married James McCaffrey on Sept. 22, 1945, in Devils Lake, N.D. He died in 1974.She graduated from Crary High School in North Dakota. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Eagan and Karen Johnson, both of Eugene; a sister, Edna Hoffmeyer of Selma, N.C.; and two grandchildren.Private burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
