Obituary of Hannah Eveline Somerset

"The Lord is my sheppard; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul..." On June 13th, 2020. The Lord called Eveline Hannah Somerset from all worldly things. A beloved Mother to Ralph, Dexter and Yolande, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty, and Friend. Known as a Prayer Warrior; Hannah was recognized for her strength and will in life. Caring for others in the field of Health Care, Hannah possessed a compassionate heart and tenderness. Hannah worked tirelessly and consistently in her life often working two or more jobs. With determination, imagination, and an attitude of "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", Hannah came to Canada in the 1980's, and was an advocate for education. Hannah graduated from George Brown College and furthered her education at Seneca College. Hannah achieved exactly what she desired in Canada. "Mom never wasted time", if she could do it now, it was getting done. Being humble and kind to people who were less fortunate, or down on their luck, was an important principle in Hannah's life. On one of her trips to Guyana, Hannah volunteered to feed an entire home of seniors in Geriatric Care, and over the years had done the same with children in need. Hannah enjoyed the simple things in life, and took pleasure in cultivating her beautiful garden, and walking her former dog Buddy. Hannah's life was flourished with grace, and endurance. Her legacy of humility, and drive will continue to thrive through her children, and an educational scholarship fund in her Memory. "Mom ordered her life by putting God first, and will be Forever Loved, Respected and Remembered".
