Obituary of Mary Ione Hawley

Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Cameron and dearly loved daughter Judy Huard. She will be dearly missed by her son Ross and daughter-in-law Marie-Jeanne, son-in-law Rick Huard as well as her grandchildren Jessica (Chris Gagne), Lindsay (Jamie Nubel), Natasha (Matt Bickford), Ryan Huard (Line) and Adam Hawley; her great-grandchildren Kaylee and Maya Gagne, Hannah, Blake and Jordan Nubel, Maeve and Ada Bickford. Tony’s dedication as a nurse was second nature for her as she loved to help people as much as she cherished her family. She will be fondly remembered for her stoicism and kindness. A private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the Perley Rideau staff of Gatineau 1 South for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers a donation in her memory to the Perley Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society (Ottawa Chapter) would be appreciated.
