Obituary of Rosa Buemi

It is with a broken heart and immense sadness on this 15th day of June, 2020 that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa Buemi (Truscello) at the remarkable age of 106. Born on August 28th, 1913 in the town of Novara di Sicilia, Rosa was the eldest daughter to the late Giovanni and Carmela Truscello. Rosa was a loving wife to her late husband Carmelo Buemi and the epitome of a compassionate mother to Giuseppe (deceased) [Tindera], Assunta and Giovanni [Anna]. A loving grandmother to Carmelo [Nadia], Daniel [Catherine], Carmelo (deceased), Mirella [Domenico] Rosa Maria (deceased) Patrizia (Charlie) and Lisa (Peter). Rosa was a proud great-grandmother to Joseph, Rosa Liana, Luna, Sarah and Alicia. The eldest of ten brothers and sisters, Rosa leaves many of them with a sad heart, however, joins others with happiness. The passing of a loved one, so deeply involved in our lives, is something one could never properly prepare for. While our beloved Rosa was a Mother, Wife, Nonna and Zia to many, above all she was the embodiment of love, hard work, sincerity and compassion - something we all aspire to achieve. The irreplaceable memory of our beloved Rosa will live on in the reminiscing of countless memories, happy times and laughter we were all so fortunate to share with her. Surrounded by her family, Rosa left us for eternal salvation where she will rest in peace for eternity. Vai in pace e sorvegliare su di noi, fino a quando ci incontreremo di nuovo.
