Obituary of Anne Slone Smith

Anne Slone SmithNovember 26, 1955 - June 13, 2020Born in Ottawa in 1955, Anne chose to leave this life through MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), on Saturday surrounded by her family after a cruel but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her beloved parents Harriet (Horwitz) and Irving Slone; her adoring husband of 23 years, Myron Mech; her only son Jason Smith; most loving Bubbee to Ethan Smith, Claudia Crouse, Marshall and Matilda Mech; sister to Eric Slone (Laurel); aunt to Isabel Slone; numerous cousins and some of the best friends a person could ask for. A special thank you to her palliative team.In keeping with Anne's wishes, cremation will take place, followed by a private Shiva. Memorial donations may be made in Anne's name to Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.
