Obituary of Derek Salvatin

The family of Derek Alexander Salvatin is saddened to announce his unexpected passing on Thursday, June 11th, 2020 at 40 years old.Derek will be forever remembered by his son Kai Arcand-Salvatin and Shelley Arcand, his loving parents, Alex and Gilda Salvatin, his sister Melanie Lindsay (Eric) and his two nieces.Derek was a cherished team member of Bazooka Kickboxing and the mixed martial arts community. He will also be missed by his brothers from St. Andrew’s Lodge.The Salvatin family wishes to thank you for your comforting words and genuine acts of kindness during this difficult time.A private visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home in Scarborough (3280 Sheppard Ave E.) on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020. Following the visitation, Derek will be cremated and his interment will occur at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
