Obituary of Howard Hare
JUNCTION CITY — A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at First Baptist Church for Howard W. Hare of Junction City, who died Nov. 5 of age-related causes. He was 92.Private burial will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.He was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Delano, Calif., to Frederick and Amy Isbister Hare. He married Joyce Baxley on Feb. 15, 1957, in Tulare, Calif.He worked as a dairy farmer, U.S. Forest Service fire watcher and U.S. Department of Agriculture meat inspector, and for the Civil Air Patrol.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Eva Crist of Seattle, Amy Nystrom of Monroe and Mary Wisegarver of Junction City; two sons, Leland of Cordova, Alaska, and Timothy of Portland; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Mary Beth Hare, died previously.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.Remembrances to Franklin Christian Church or Viking Sal Senior Center in Junction City.
