Obituary of Jose Julio dos Santos Catarino

A loving Brother, Husband, Father & AvôJose Julio Catarino passed away peacefully on June 8th 2020 after a long and difficult battle with cancer. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and a devoted husband to the love of his life Clarinda for over 50 years, together they had three children Ana Paula (Mauricio), Phillippe (Cristina), and Erique (Cindy). His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Nathan (Tania), Juliana, Matthew, Diogo, Sierra and Joshua. Jose was also an amazing role model to his 10 younger siblings and a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Jose had a smile and personality that would always light up any room, to know him was to love him! He was and will always be incredibly loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was very proud of his home town of Ferrel, Portugal where he will be laid to rest. In light of the recent COVID-19 social distancing regulations, the funeral service will be private and restricted to a limited number of family members. However a Drive Past Visitation will take place on Saturday June 20, 2020 from 1:30pm until approximately 3pm. This type of visitation provides a safe and designated viewing area where the Catarino family can gather, in a group of fewer than 10 people, to acknowledge those in their vehicles. The Funeral Home will assist and direct vehicles to ensure people do not exit their vehicles and come in to contact with other passengers and drivers, and to maintain general safety.
