Obituary of Christopher Sherfey
With broken hearts, we announce the very sudden loss of our beloved son Christopher Michael Sherfey (Chris) on June 7, 2020. Chris lost his battle to addiction and mental illness at the age of 40. He leaves behind his two cherished children, Cleo and Adam. Chris will be missed every day by his mother, Joyce, step-father Mike, children Cleo and Adam, sisters Rachel, Nicole and Tara, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chris was born in Calgary, Alberta, grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended high school in Oakville, Ontario. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he moved to Barbados to pursue a career in sales which also took him to London, England. An enthusiastic traveller, Chris travelled to many countries within South America, Australia, throughout the U.S. and Europe gaining new friendships along the way. One of the highlights of his life was to complete a 500 mile hike, the Camino de Santiago, in Spain in the Fall of 2018. Passions included snowboarding, fishing and carpentry. Chris was our much loved and cherished son who we will never stop missing. We hope that you know how much we cared for you Chris, and we always accepted you unconditionally.Due to the pandemic, a private cremation will take place.
