Obituary of Isaac Davis Cassim Thompson
“You’ll Never Walk Alone” It is with broken hearts, we announce that Isaac Davis passed away in the arms of his family on June 6th, after a long 20 month heroic battle with testicular cancer. Isaac was 23 and in his last year of studies at the University of Toronto, pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Sociology. Son to Loving Parents Soraya and David, Loving Big Brother to Malcolm and Evan. Forever loved by Grandparents Marlene and the late Dr. Essop Cassim and Anne and Moe Thompson. Sorrowly missed by Aunts Nadia, Leila and Degan, Uncles Andy, Rob and the late Uncle Rick. Adored by cousins Kirin, Marnie, Patrick, and Tara. Fondly remembered by many family and friends in Canada, Trinidad, South Africa and around the world. Isaac was born August 2, 1996 in the Town of Oakville and is a proud graduate of Rotherglen School and Hillfield Strathallan College. Isaac had a love of many sports particularly soccer, baseball, basketball and hockey. He played in Oakville leagues and on his school teams. Isaac avidly followed many sports teams, especially his beloved Liverpool Football Club. Isaac was also an accomplished piano player, reaching Grade 9, Royal Conservatory of Music. Isaac believed in giving back and volunteered hundreds of hours in the community and with the Puruhá people in Chimborazo, Ecuador, to help build a school. Isaac enjoyed video games and spending time with his family, especially his brothers. Creating lasting memories with trips of a lifetime to Trinidad, South Africa and our final road trips across Canada are cherished times. Isaac will be remembered for his calm, gentle demeanor and his sense of humour. Forever loved, Forever remembered, Isaac remains in our hearts forever. Thank you to Dr. Bedard, Dr. Hansen and their team at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for their dedicated care. Thank you to Dr. Benjamin, Nurse Ivana and their team for their devoted care.
