Obituary of Herbert Walter Hohener

Herbert Hohener (Herb) passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 after batting vasculardisease for many years. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregiversduring the last days of his life. He is survived by his wife, Marion of 60 years; children Jeff, Sue(Jaysen) and Doug and daughter-in-law Sandra; younger brother Erich and sister-in-law Bina;and grandchildren Shannon, Ben and Zac.Herb was born on September 17, 1935 in Zurich, Switzerland. He was defined by his dryhumour, generosity and passion for classic car restoration, models and puzzles. His love andkindness for animals, especially his beloved cats, was only matched by his enthusiasm foropera, travel, and books. Herb was a mechanical engineer and his meteorological inventionsare still in use around the world today.A private family service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. He will be deeply missed byhis family and all those who had the good fortune to know him.Donations are being accepted for World Wildlife Fund and The Salvation Army
