Obituary of Winnifred Petrie

God parsimoniously called Winnifred (don’t call me Winnifred) “Winnie” Eileen Petrie (McPherson) forthwith on May 30th, 2020 in her 87th year.Born of noble blood on November 12th, 1933, on Cape Breton Isle, Nova Scotia, the fairest of seven sisters, she is survived by her beloved Martine and Tippy. Reunited in heaven with her charming, handsome husband William “Billy” Petrie, and dashing, doting sons Brian & Kevin. She is forever treasured by her beautiful, intelligent daughters Sheila Marie & Isabel Karen, now orphans. A matriarch with a reign of over 50 years, she was revered grandmother to Shaun, Michelle, Charlene (David), Bobbi-Jennifer, Patricia, Joseph (Yvonne), Joshua, Jolene and Adam. She is deeply mourned by her great-grand children Nyron, Mekayla, Isaiah, Lila, Antonio, Noah, Gabriel, Reece, Jersey, Thomas and Rowan. She is greatly grieved by limitless relatives, immeasurable friends and boundless admirers. No amount of arrangement has prepared us for this formidable, unfathomable loss. We have lost our oldest direct relative, one of the last of a generation and the Belle of Bonne Cape Breton.
