Obituary of Jackie Ellis

Jackie EllisOAKRIDGE — Jackie Ellis of Oakridge died Nov. 13 of complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 69. A private gathering is planned in Oakridge.She was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Fresno, Calif., to Albert and Cassie Jenkins. She was married to Pops Ellis for more than 20 years. They are divorced.She worked as a cocktail waitress in Reno, Nev., in a laundromat in California and a security aide for Lane County Housing Authority.Survivors include a daughter, Lonnie Quiñones of California; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Four sons, Nicholas, Patrick, James and Johnny Joe, died previously.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel.Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.
