Obituary of Janice Searl

Janice SearlA memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 26 at North Eugene Faith Center for Janice Marie Searl of Eugene, who died Nov. 9 of Alzheimer’s disease. She was 79.She was born Dec. 8, 1931, in Roseburg to Hugh and Gertrude Wickham Whipple. She married Gary “Joe” Searl on June 6, 1956, in Portland.She graduated from Southern Oregon University with a teaching degree. She worked as a schoolteacher in elementary through high school and taught for more than a decade at Crest Drive Elementary School.Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lori Bosteder and Julia Moore, both of Eugene; a son, Bruce of Eugene; a brother, James Whipple of Eugene; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to World Vision, Relief Nursery or Oregon Children’s Choir.`
