Obituary of Giovanni Civello

Giovanni [Johnny] 78, died on May 29, 2020 after a long nine day fight with COVID-19 pneumonia in Scarborough, Ontario.Giovanni Civello is survived by his wife Salvatrice Doreen of 55 years, his children Josie [Frank] Joanne [Vince] Grace [Cory] Roger [Lidia] and his 11 grandchildren. Giovanni enjoyed watching soccer, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family, and adoring his wife every day. He was a barber for more than 60 years and continued barbering for his family and friends long after retirement. He was always proud of his Sicilian zucchini and would share with everyone to enjoy. His tomato plants were legendary and are growing in many gardens around the GTA. He loved to supervise during all his wife’s baking and cooking and enjoyed the treats that would fill his belly. A man of a few words, huge heart, soft-spoken and always kind smiles. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.Love you John, love you dad, love you nonno. Rest In Peace with your son Orazio.
