Obituary of Cristina Scipione

Surrounded by her loving family, Cristina passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23rd at the age of 99. Cristina is now reunited with her loving husband Fiorindo in heaven. A loving mother to Anna (the late Gino), proud grandmother to Enzo, Rita (Donny), and Robert (Liana) and cherished great-grandmother to Cristian and Daniel. Pre-deceased by her parents and sister Elcidia. Cristina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all of her extended family and friends in Canada and abroad. Cristina was born in Abbateggio, Italy on April 28, 1921. In 1965, she immigrated to Canada with her family to begin a new life in Toronto. She was a dedicated employee of Lancia Bravo for 21 years until she retired in 1986. Cristina enjoyed many of her retirements years travelling back home to Italy with Fiorindo to spend time in their beloved hometown of Abbateggio. She loved spending time with family and was devoted to her faith. Due to current health concerns, a private family visitation and service will be held at the Glendale Funeral Home with private entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. A memorial service for Cristina will be held for family and friends at a future date. In memory of Cristina, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society.
