Shirley Norma JohnAugust 15, 1938 - May 17, 2020Shirley was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. She was raised between Guyana and Trinidad.She excelled as a student and taught Domestic Sciences in Guyana.She, and her husband, Donald, moved to London, England with their daughter, Jacqueline. There, she had their daughter, Paula and son, Everton. She worked in London as a nurse. Shirley and family then moved to Canada for better opportunities. She worked for the Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Governments, the banking Industry, and the Toronto Police Service. She was a dedicated worker. Shirley's youngest daughter, Barbara, was born in Toronto, Ontario.Shirley was very talented. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and was an excellent baker and cook. She was known to make beautiful wedding and birthday cakes and many other delicacies. Family and friends benefited from these talents. She loved all types of music especially her daughter, Jacqueline, singing. Shirley loved God, Family, and Friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Gwendolyn and Septimus, her daughter, Paula, her brother,Michael, and her ex husband, Donald.She was a sweet, kind, loving, generous person whom will be missed by her children, relatives, and friends.
