Obituary of Noah Ralph-Jamieson
“I don’t wanna say goodbye, to youSo I’ll just say good night, to youMy people, no goodbyes to youI’m just gon’ say good night” -Kanye WestIt is with profound sadness that we say good night to our Noah. He will remain forever in the hearts of his mom (Jennifer), dad (Kirk), and sister (Sarah). He was adored by his grandparents, Linda and Pearce Ralph and Linda and Edward Jamieson, and his aunt (Valerie Ralph). Noah also leaves behind five adorable cats, a massive hoodie collection, and an impressive number of designer shoes!Noah will be remembered as that kid with the big brown eyes and infectious laugh. He always had the ability to make people smile. He was kind, sensitive, and he was always concerned about the well-being of others. He loved fashion and thrift shopping. He was so creative. However, he had very questionable taste in music. He loved expressing himself in different ways and he wasn’t afraid to take risks. He was a fan of tattoos and even gave himself, and others, a few. He loved to experience new things. Noah would often say that life was all about experiences, good or bad. There are so many people who have surrounded us with love and support. He was so loved. We would like to thank our families and friends in Newfoundland. Growing up, Noah spent most of his summers there with his doting grandparents. He loved hiking the scenic trails, swimming in the Manuels River, walking along the beach, and playing with the kids from the ‘sac. He cherished his memories there. They were truly the best days of his life.We would like to thank the “Nightstar Gang” (The Pearsons, Fox-Hargrove, and Ralph-Jamieson clans). Noah loved the backyard BBQs, holiday celebrations, playing in the Round-About, and partaking in our crazy events like the Easter Hunt Hunger Games and our infamous Halloween parties. So much laughter.Thank you to the Armstrong family (Karen, James, Liam, Callum, Tatum). Noah was like their third son. They accepted his crazy quirks and never gave up on him. He spent A LOT of time there playing video games! Noah and Liam loved going into the city and finding all kinds of interesting vintage items in the stores of Kensington Market. We would like to thank the Fox-Hargrove family (Lynn, Sydney) who loved us so much that they moved in next door! This was also a second home to Noah. And yet, another mom! He has so many memories of growing up with Sydney. They spent countless hours playing on the computer, inventing new games, and being all-around goofballs. Thanks to the staff at SAIL, Burlington. Noah loved working there in the men’s clothing department. He was passionate about clothes, so it was perfect! While there he made many friends. One, in particular, was Laura Twigg. They shared a special bond. He once told me that she was his “soul mate”. She brought out the artsy side of him. They enjoyed raiding thrift shops, making clothing, and drawing. We also have her to thank for his green hair!We would like to thank the staff of CAPIS at OTMH. Noah found some comfort there. He valued the insight of Dr. “B” and spoke highly of the caring staff, and in particular, “Magic Mike”. He was amazed by his magic tricks and loved listening to his stories and advice. We would also like to thank Dr. Saunders. He was able to open up and share so much of himself with you. Thank you for listening.Thank you Kay Percival for teaching Noah how to sew. He loved your classes and felt an instant connection with you. Thank you for being so accepting of him.We would like to thank the administrators, staff, students, former students, and parents of Rotherglen School. This school has been such a huge part of our lives, and we are thankful to belong to this wonderful community who have been a source of love and strength. Thank you in particular to Laura, Mairi, Melissa, Kristen, and Jette. We would also like to thank some of his friends. He loved going for walks and playing online games with Rowan. They had some amazing conversations. Humza encouraged Noah to ride his bike again, and they enjoyed making things together. Noah also enjoyed spending time with Kai, and said that jumping in the lake with him was one of the best days of his life! And thank you to Matteus for attending the Vince Staples/JPEGMafia concert with him. Dancing in a moshpit and singing along to one of his favourite artists brought Noah so much joy that night. We would like to thank the administrators and staff of Garth Webb Secondary School. They provided Noah with so much support, understanding, guidance...and patience! In fact, they are going to award Noah with his grade 12 High School Diploma. You did it buddy! And a special thanks to his sister, Sarah. He loved you so much. He may not have said it a lot, but he loved you. He was proud of you too. He even secretly said once that you were “pretty cool”. That’s high praise coming from an older brother! You had so many happy memories together. Thank you, Sarah for being there for him. It wasn’t always easy, but you supported him and were always there for him. He appreciated it.And to anyone that we have not mentioned...our heartfelt thanks to you.Noah touched the lives of so many people. He will be forever missed. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Rest easy Noah. Find your peace. And above all else, enjoy this new experience. As an expression of sympathy, and as a way to remember our awesome boy, donations can be made to the R.E.A.C.H.
