Obituary of Margarita Betsayda Guillemette
We have all been blessed to know Margie and feel her very deep love. She was kind and generous; ready to help on a moment’s notice, or to listen to you as long as you needed. She volunteered her lunchtimes for several years to help with Meals on Wheels in downtown Toronto, and would drive across town in a heartbeat to help a friend or family. She never judged anyone by looks or race, creed or sexuality; but always managed to see you for the beautiful person you are inside. You could always tempt Margie with food or a drive. She delighted in food markets, exploring different cultures for new and exciting treats to share…She was happy to drive to Buffalo for some shopping, a spa day in Ottawa’s Nordik Spa, or a same-day round-trip to Montreal for bagels and smoked meat!!!Margie sang for 25 years in Annunciation church choir, and has the voice of an angel. She loved all types of music, but Motown, R&B and musicals were her favorites.Margie enjoyed dragon-boating, roller-derby, Spartan Races, yoga, massages and naps in hammocks!Margie loved painting, sewing quilts, knitting, and above all reading comics and books - don’t bend any pages or you will be sorry!Margie loved her nephew Jack and her nieces Robyn and Dylan with all of her heart. She still had room for the rest of us too…Margie worked in banks for 15+ years, in a role that helped folks deal with the death of their loved ones. She was fiercely proud of her work, and always went above and beyond for both clients and co-workers.She was a bit of a rebel, and always did what she felt was just.We do not know why God chose to take Margie home so early. Maybe she just lived life too fast, or loved too deeply… Maybe God needed her to perfect his Heavenly Choir…With the world in a pandemic, God surely needs more help, and Margie can never refuse to help!Margie is always ready for adventure, and now she has the whole world and universe to explore.Go check out those pyramids and all of the churches and museums.Fly on, Little Bee!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~While Margie loved flowers, she would rather continue to help those in need. In Margie’s name, please feel free to donate to Second Harvest. Their goal is to rescue as much perishable food as possible and distribute it to those in need across 1000 organizations in Ontario and BC. This helps both people and the environment.
