Obituary of Sylvanita Jones

We are sad to announce the passing of Sylvanita Jones, lovingly remembered as “Aunty Girly”. Born on May, 17, 1937 in St. Maarten, She passed away on May 18, 2020. Sylvanita had a zest for life, and a soft spot for kids. A woman who always put the well being of others above her own. A wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. For many years, she was a beloved and active member of Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist church in Toronto, Canada. Married to the late William Jones, she leaves behind 2 children; Marva and Jetje, 2 grandchildren; Janissa and Terrence, 1 great-grand child; Imani, and 8 siblings; Elfreda, Jesse, Clotilda, Vivian, Cathrina, Hubert, Iona, and Genneva.
