Obituary of Joseph Ferlanti

With great sadness we announce that Joseph Ferlanti (Joe), loving brother to Mario and his wife Terri, uncle to Daniella and Laura, and a loyal friend to so many, passed away suddenly in Mississauga on May 18th, 2020 at age 61. He is reunited with his father Giovannino, his mother Domenica and his dear sister, late wife of Mario, Kathy. Joe was passionate about photography, music, as well as architecture and design. He spent his life between Canada and Italy, and made lasting friendships in both places. Last summer, he travelled to Italy and had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and family. In the more recent years of his life, Joe spent time taking care of his mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was thoughtful, funny, generous and always giving of himself. We will miss him greatly.Unfortunately due to the pandemic, there will be no funeral or visitation at this time. However, a celebration of life will be held when circumstances permit. In place of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in honour of his mother, Domenica. _______________________________________________________________________________________Con grande tristezza annunciamo che Joseph Ferlanti (Joe), fratello di Mario e sua moglie Terri, zio di Daniella e Laura, e amico dedicato, e' morto all'improvviso a Mississauga il 18 maggio 2020 all'età di 61 anni. È riunito con suo padre Giovannino, sua madre Domenica e la sua cara sorella, defunta moglie di Mario, Kathy.Joe era appassionato di fotografia, musica, architettura e design. Ha trascorso la sua vita tra il Canada e l'Italia e ha stretto amicizie durature in entrambi i luoghi. L'estate scorsa, ha viaggiato in Italia e ha avuto l'opportunità di ricollegare con vecchi amici e familiari. Negli anni più recenti della sua vita, Joe si e’ dedicato all cura della sua madre a cui è stata diagnosticata la malattia di Alzheimer. Ci mancherà moltissimo.Purtroppo a causa della pandemia di Covid, al momento non ci saranno funerali o visite. Tuttavia, quando le circostanze lo consentiranno, si terrà una celebrazione della sua vita.
